Over the years I have had the pleasure of play around with hundreds of different cameras and I can tell you they have come a long long way over the past 16 years.

My first digital camera I bought was in 1999 ex demo stock from an eletronics shop it cost me $99 and had a massive (physically)1 megabyte memory card.

It was able to take around 8 pictures in the BMP format and the quality was absolutly rubbish

Times have certainly changed since then. It is truly amazing what we are able to purchase relatavly easily today quality 8K resolution, 60 Frames per second etc.

The price and size just keep coming down and down.

My old 1 megabyte memory card was huge! I am always blown away when I take a look at a 64 gigabyte micro SD card today and think this tiny thing is holding 64 thousand times more then my 1 memory card back in 1999 just think how much it will hold in another 16 years.
